'02 Outback Sedan Headlight Issue

Featured Replies

I have an '02 Outback Sedan H6

The Driverside low beam headlight is out

1. I changed the bulb - Still nothing

2. Made sure the plugs around the light were all tightly plugged in

3. I swapped the fuze with the passenger side headlight fuze - still nothing

(the passengerside works fine)

4. The High Beam works fine

5. The Fog light works fine

6. Kicking tire had no effect

Any suggestions?

I know this is not the technical-mechanical answer you are looking for but I have an "04" Outback Sedan, with a d/s headlight (brand new bulb) that occasionally goes out and I just tap on the headlight lightly, a couple of times and it works fine, for awhile, then I repeat the process, the next time it goes out.

Good Luck,

On my '00 I had the same problem.Since then it has happened to both sides. The problem is the connector that plugs on to the spade on the bulb. They must burn up or something. The only way I could fix it was to cut it off,buy a new one and solder it back on.No problems since.
