RacerAl
Does anybody know if the viscous and clutch pack LSD units are interchangeable?
NoahDL88
I don't believe so, because the stub shaft design is different. The VLSD from the 91 SS legacy should be though, the newer stuff, i'm pretty sure isn't
Dr. RX
Does anybody know if the viscous and clutch pack LSD units are interchangeable?Do you know what car they came out of, R160 parts does swap with R180 parts. It would be good to have some more info on what you are thinking of swapping.
Frank B
Meeky Moose has a VLSD in his EA81 wagon. I guess the early legacy 3.9 VLSD units are the ones that work.

The difference is that the Leg diff has stub axles held in by a 'C' clip and the others are held in by a bolt, so the inners will change, but you'll need the correct stub axles too.
