January 8, 200719 yr I know this isn't a fancy WRX power turbo major super upper swap, but hey... I'm aiming for 30 MPG... Anyhoo, I went junking today and got some parts and I am actually making progress on the car... I first found a legacy, some one pulled the tranny and left the clutch... best part, motor was seized, guess its not cool to check the oil level over 280K miles.... Then I only had to pull the bolt of the power wire for the starter, cake. Then I get a 3.9 diff out of a sedan.. Gotta convert my LSD later:banana: Went home, got the clutch on and dropped the motor in... Other then forgetting to lengthen the boom on the hoist, this went really well... Then I got the tranny on... forgot to knock out the guide pins on the tranny(they were in the engine too) but other then that it went really smooth.... I still have to: -Remove the old Rx electronics -Drill holes in the tranny cross member(it was seized on, so I PB Blastered it, put the tranny on a stand and called it a night) -mess with the shift linkages -Convert the LSD to a 3.9 -hook up the engine with plenty of riggin' Still waiting on what I'm going to do to make the motor run fuel management wise, but I have lots more still to do:banana:

January 16, 200719 yr I reallly really want to do this on my car... are you using all of the ECU and such and such electronics from the RS or are you going standalone???

Haven't quite decided yet.. the guy I got my motor from owes me the wiring harness... but I also have a MS over there----> in a box. The only reason I don't go whole hog is because the subaru ignition wheel hasn't been decoded so I'd have to use a ford set-up....
