when you get back to kitsap you will have to meet up w/ some of us at tahuya

If you ever sell that thing, let me know...(especially if you want to do it on your way back to western WA...I'm right on the way if you take the Post Falls route...)

tie rod's in. now i need to play with them to make it so it doesn't jerk slightly right when i let go of the gas. maybe the right one needs replacing too...

did a little investigation on the rearend... it feels like i might of just broke a stubby off in the diff... and if it's in there good enough, it is not going to be fun to remove... i jacked the rear and can jiggle and pull the axle cup away from the diff slightly. the other side that still turns the drive shaft doesn't pull out... maybe my welds held :-\

hooked up the rear driveline again and it started making the noise in the tcase. so out goes the tcase for sure. and try to find my tool to unbolt a stubby and swap one out with my spare diff. tomorrow! then to the steel yards to find a chunk of 1/4" plate to make a skid for the tcase. 8 ball mine's trails this saturday if i'm lucky!

almost forgot, this week i need to make vent lines for the diffs and bring the front into the engine compartment and the rear into the cab.

my last one i broke wouldn't come out so i took a tap and tapped out the center and ran a bolt with a washer on it into the center hole and used a prybar prying under the washer against the side of the housing and it just popped out. i tried everything else short of pulling out the diff and taking it apart. i don't remember what size off hand, i think it was 7/16 but i can let you know, i'll check when i get to work tomorrow and i can let you know if you want. unless you have already done this before i had also entertain the idea of using a dent puller but was told it was to small but i did have one other option i was thinking of before i had this idea.

i've had to do it in a lsd a few times. problem is this ones welded tight and access from the other side is slim. i'll look more into it tomorrow when i have it off. if i can even unbolt it... don't remember how thourough i was with welding it...

well the broken stubby came out easy. and went right back in! :headbang: swapped out the tcase and didn't seem to fix the problem all the way... so i'm going to do some more putting around and seeing what else i can do... got a wobble in the front right tire and a driveline vibration...

then i broke the other stubby... so i'll be collecting more... going to investigate the front right wobble and change some u joints out on the rear driveline.
