February 18, 200719 yr I KNOW it's the rear main. I just know it. Like my old GL, it leaks right where the trans and engine meet... But, how can I be sure its the rear main, I am getting good oil pressure... and it doesnt seem to leak THAT much. I dont want to drive it the 1,000 mile trip to Washington to have it blow up on the 5 or anything :-\
February 18, 200719 yr As long as the crankcase ventilation system is in good shape, I doubt there will ever be a point when crankcase pressure gets high enough to 'blow out' the seal.

I don't think anyone here really cares that much.... it really is astounding how often people seem to utterly forget to mention that.. and it seems like in the last week or so theres been a rash of it.. Eh. It happens
