March 24, 200719 yr I am MS'ing my 87 RX and I need to know what kind of pickup is used in the distributor. I think it's opticle but I'm not sure. I need to know because I have to choose which components to solder.
March 24, 200719 yr It Souuld be optical As long as it's not the old MPFI setup with the seperate knock control unit, Single connector TPS, and the Flapper MAF. I know it was changed in 87 for the GLs but the early 87 XTs still used the old stuff. I have no idea for an RX

I have no idea for an RX Good point, I always forget that 87 was a changing year for some of those other chassis models.. I have an 87 GL10 SPFI so I always assume an 87 gl or better is SPFI like mine, unless its turbo.
