Differences between 93 ej18 and 93 ej22...

Featured Replies

yeah i was looking under the hook of my impreza ej18 and under the hood of a 93 legacy ej22 and here are the little differences, keep in mind that i am very familiar to the ej22s, but these little differences blew my mind off

ej18 has no knock sensor!!!!!

ej18 has a EGR valve

EJ18 throttle body has two TPSs

off course the wiring is a little different, but no knock sensor!!!!!!!!

and again no knock sensor!!!! couldnt find one...

whet else am i forgeting??

give me your differences....

Weird. I didn't think 93-94 Imprezas had EGRs, but they do. I just pulled up an EGR valve for a 93 Impreza.

I knew the EJ18s never had knock sensors. It's probably gonna be one of my biggest hurdles whenever I get around to my EJ18-T project.

And I think the second TPS you're referring to is the IAC valve. No EJ18 ever had an IAC valve mounted to the intake manifold like the EJ22s did.
