Bad brake line on EA81 coupe

Featured Replies

On the 1984 coupe the brakes stopped working. I found one of the rear lines is leaking, so I cut it out and tried replacing it with a rubber line. No one told me that a rubber hose wouldn't hold up to the pressure of it, so it tore. So what should I do?

Buy a replacement brake line at any auto parts store. You will have to measure the length and add any necessary bends. They come in various lengths w/preformed flares. You want one w/standard flares and metric flare nuts-these are known as Japanese style.

They come armored and unarmored. Here is one.
