Want to lower my 2005 Baja Sport

Featured Replies

From what I have heard the Baja is built on a Legacy platform and according to a contact at Subaru the suspension is the same excluding spacers that are installed to increase ride height and ground clearance.Upon further investigation by my local performance shop they saw no such spacers installed.I would like to purchase a set of lowering springs from the Tire Rack for a Legacy, but am not sure if these will work.I know there are potential issues related to strut/shock travel when lowering a car with after-market springs, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this subject. If so I would appreciate any help you could offer.Thanks....Robert...Buddyatlga@aol.com

IIRC the BAJA sits on the same springs as the outback. Using legacy struts with a set of lowering springs would take care of the job nicely. The outback has a higher spring perch than normal legacy. And slightly longer springs. Many people on the board have used either outback or forrester strut/spring combo's to raise impreza and legacy vehicles. SO the opposite should hold true. Good luck and post up some pics when you get it done.
