I have a '92 Loyale, 1.8L SPFI, error code 35 showing when I read the LED, Canister purge solenoid valve, switch continuously on or off position. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I'm not even sure what or where this is. I also have been hearing some pinging and at first it showed error codes in memory 11,13,14. Codes have cleared now but I expect they will return after I drive it again. Any ideas on what I need to fix or replace. This is my first day on this board so please be patient with my questions.

Welcome to the forum Mike.

 

The solenoid is behind the throttle body on top of the engine if it is like my '88 was. It is about 1 inch square and has a 2 pin connector. Be careful of the vacuum hos connections to it as they are very easy to break. Do not torque the connections. There may be another similar looking solenoid near it for the EGR valve.
