May 10, 200718 yr I know the subaru part number of the add-on filter, I was wondering if anyone knows of is an equivilent replacement filter I could pick up at the local autozone or napa, etc?
May 10, 200718 yr To me that thing looks a lot like a fuel filter. I used a perma-cool filter mount from SummitRacing.com (about $16) and then you just find a nice Wix/Napa Gold/Carquest filter that fits the mount's thread pitch, generally 3/4" or 7/16". Just pop that baby inline with 3/8" hose barb fittings and you are good to go. Have to make sure your flow direction is correct since most oil filters have adbv anti-drain back valves.
May 11, 200718 yr I have a few brand new ones that I bought from a Suabru dealer a few years back. These are the stock OEM ones that were part of the campaign in the early 1990's. They are $15 shipped to the 48 USA states. P.M. me if your interested. I'll post a pic on Friday night of them.
May 11, 200718 yr Author Thanks for the replies, I can get the OEM one at my dealer I think, I was just trying to determine if I could get one at the cheapo parts places since they are more convienent to me.
