You should install them how this one is oriented in the picture. They are designed to move the strut in towards the engine bay to keep decent camber when installed. You may have to hammer on the body some to keep the strut from hitting. But \ / camber will be present if installed wrong. As long as you install them correct your camber will resemble | |.
