Gloyale
I get conflicting info from parts catalogs as to whether 2wd and AWD rear bearings are the same for a 93 Legacy. Can anybody answer this?
DerFahrer
99.9999999995412% sure they're different.
Gloyale
After I posted this I found some more specific diagrahms. Beware buying rear wheel bearings though. It appears the auto parts stores, or some anyhow, don't show a difference.
Legacy777
They are different. The rear FWD bearings are ball bearings, while the rear AWD bearings are tapered roller bearings.
jamal
one other thing to note is that the chance you'll also need hubs is pretty good. If there is even a slight lip worn into the part that goes into the bearing, the new bearings will get trashed in a very short period of time. Gloyale
Thanks to everyone with the info. I got them done and it worked out fine. The kit I bought was a Hub/Bearing assembly.
