My GL 5speed man DR tranny is leakin oil somewhere out of the drivers side, above the cv axle.... Anyone had problems with these tranny's leakin?

I just crawled under the car for as long as I could stand.. -10 F up here this morning

Its leaking from the seal on the stub shaft of the tranny....

How hard is it to replace that seal? can it be done from the outside of the car or do I have to drop the tranny and replace the seal throuhg the inside?

 

I guess I shouldnt be dumping the clutch at 5 grand on the snow, every time I shift gears... :banghead:
