June 22, 200718 yr this is for low voltage to injector 1... Anyone know what causes this? where to look for the culprit? fixes? This vehicle (99 OBW) has NEVER given me any problems... love this machine. Any help/ideas/thoughts appreciated. Later, Peter
June 22, 200718 yr Check for a bad connection to the injector. The wire to the injector should be brown and if you have a 2.2L engine it goes to pin 4 on the ECU and if you have a 2.5L it goes to pin 26.
June 22, 200718 yr Author It was more exciting than that! a mouse had chewed through the wire!!!! I do appreciate the response. the "mechanic" was talking about replacing the entire Brain as it was the likely culprit... maybe a relay... if I was lucky. While we were looking under the hood I saw a wire stricking out through the sheilding.... & asked if that may be the problem... Thanks for your reply, Cougar, since I know this board will offer more help than "guess work" mechanics. Later, Peter
June 22, 200718 yr I was about to say look at your wiring for frayed or chewed through parts int he insulation. We have plenty of pack rats here and they tend to make thier homes in the engine bay when left sitting, they just love to chew through wiring.
June 22, 200718 yr You're welcome for the reply L,P. Glad you got it working correctly without much pain to the pocketbook. Thanks for the feedback.
