Help w/ underseat CD changer

The magazine for my under -the- passenger- seat, 6 CD changer appears to be stuck inside and spinning, despite not having touched it for nearly 2 years. The in dash deck reads an E3 code. Can anyone help with extracting the cartridge and advice on whether or not I should replace this one or trouble shoot the repair?
