July 4, 200718 yr Part #? Seeing as my $100-a-side wheelbearings are getting loosish. Wyoming parts store prices suck. Wyoming, New Hampshire?

July 4, 200718 yr Wyoming, New Hampshire? Lander, wyoming is where I had to replace the bearings so I could make it back to NH. I got raped on the parts prices and it still hurts, but those bearings wouldn't have made it home. They made different noises depending on which side of the crown of the highway I rode on...
July 25, 200817 yr A little late for me, but thanks for posting this. My first time doing this a couple of years ago was on my own with just a Haynes manual. BTW. when installing the new bearings, put them, greased, inside a plastic baggie and put in the freezer for several hours. They will slip right in...with light tapping with a piece of PVC just smaller OD than the bearing, or use the ground outer race as someone suggested. MUCH easier for those of us without a press.
