I have a 99 OBW with the stock player and it plays burned cd's just fine. it would be a nice upgrade to the 6-disc changer though.

Yeah, I gotta say the 6disk changer is pretty sweet!

"I want him to be able to play CD's he burned on his computer...regular 74 or 80min CD's not MP3 CD's. What year is your stock CD player and does it handle discs you've burned yourself? Anybody got a 1999 or 2000 with a stock player?"

 

OBSERVATION 2010.. The factory installed CD Player in my 2005 Legacy will play CDs that I've burned on my computer if I use the appropriate blank media. Not all blank CD media use the same dyes. You don't need to buy the really expensive ones, but the cheap ones may not work reliably or at all.
