aartod
Is there a way to remove the glass from the sunroof without tearing out the interior? On the sunroof there are four small "ramps" that are held on by screws on the top of the track to push the sunroof up when it closes--- well one of mine fell off and is stuck somewhere inside the sunroof track- way in the back where I cannot see... So it would be real handy if subaru had some method of removing the glass without taking out the whole darn thing! Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? is the sunroof open or closed?, what year and model? if its a legacy there are 4 bolts on each side of the glass covered by a plastic cover, remove that long plastic cover in each side of the glass to expose the bolts, unbolt them and push the glass up... all this assuming the sunroof is at closed position. aartod
Sorry-- 1990 legacy, It opens all the way and it almost closes all the way but just shy about a 1/4"--- I see the screws with plastic covers I will pop it out and see if I can get those lost parts out! Thank you
njdrsubaru
i dont think is anything on the tracks i believe is the air deflector that is preventing the sunroof from closing all the way. check the air deflector screws down first and then do the glass :-\
aartod
one of those aluminum "ramps" actually came off and is stuck inside-- I have recovered one of the the two screws, it was lying in the track. The air deflector is in great shape-- that was the first thing I checked! Thank you for your help- I'll keep you posted on what I find behind the glass.....
