July 13, 200718 yr Hers's the history: I got this car because the owner thought he had blown a HG. Ater a through check my mechanic could find nothing wrong with the HG, but a ten days later it started leaking coolant from the water pump. I replaced the pump( with new not reman) and the car has been running great. Yesterday the car started to run warm (about 2/3 on the guage) so I stopped and looked and the leak at the pump is back. Any ideas? I realize that I could have gotten a bad pump but I wanted some input. Also note that if I ran the car without the radiatior cap it wouldn't leak as much and it remained cool. When I put the cap back on the leak turned into a stream and the temp began to go up again. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The pump has only been in the car for a month so it is warrantied.

July 13, 200718 yr On the SVX Racer, we had a similiar problem, we went through a couple pumps, and various used and new gaskets and couldn't stop the leak. I finally used a light coat of RV, and it's been fine since.
