1985 rx sedan, when i try to start it the engine tries to run but as soon as i let the key go it dies. good spark, timing and fuel, im not sure if the switch crapped out or not, any suggestions?

1985 rx sedan, when i try to start it the engine tries to run but as soon as i let the key go it dies. good spark, timing and fuel, im not sure if the switch crapped out or not, any suggestions?

 

Make sure power is getting to the coil with the key in the RUN position.

My car was doing the samething after I had installed my car alarm, There is a pink connector under the dash(in my car) that had come undone. this wire aparently is the one that runs power in to the computer?
