The retractable luggage compartment cover in my 91 Loyale wagon no longer retracts. Looks like the spring has broken or come loose inside. Any advice would be appreciated:

 

1. Can this be repaired? Has anyone ever taken one of these apart?

 

2. Where would I find a used replacement?

i have a blue one from a 91 loyale wagon

 

looks fine, till you unroll it, rather wrinkly toward the center

 

also have one from a 86 ea82 3door coupe, havent looked at.

Oh, by the way loyale cargo covers are slightly different than GL covers, so you may need to do a thing or 2 different. So if the instructions seem impossible you may need to find a new method.
