Do some of those hill climbs in snow and you'll have a lot more fun. Or do some mud!!! Not bad footage though. Keep it up.

Yeah 'll proly be out this winter in it. :)

And I've stayed away from any good mud cause I have no way to pull my car out if I stick it. I'm fixing that with this pay check this week.

Good for you. Cool camera work.

Everybody has to start somewhere when it comes to wheeling these Soobs.

Below your vid were other related vids. Here's one I haven't seen in a while. Features a bunch of the cars on the poster. Plenty of mine too.!

Cool. :)

Alot of the camera work was just setting it on a rock, hitting record, running back to the car and driving by it cause you don't have any one up to film. hehe.

Tends to give ya neat low angles though.

Need to get brave enough to put it in the middle of a trail at an obstacle so I can get a drive over shot of the chassis doing it's thing.

But that will be the time I bottom out and smash the camera. I just know it.

nice vids. as soon as i get a free weekend lets go wheelin. haven't done much up lolo yet but the powerline looks inviting though.

Cool.

Going wheelin' this sunday. But then I have to go out of town next weekend.

After that I should be free as well.

Then we gotta hit the trails. :)

That PL trail I have the still shot of I have not went all the way down yet.

Wanted to wait till I was with another vehicle as it looks to get steep and goes into the woods. I know it continues for a ways (cause I can see it on the other end from up on the hill) and proly crosses a stream down there. But I have a rule about unknown downhill trails. I don't do them alone.

I figure climbs are better. If I can go up and get stuck I can proly get back down. But if I go down a gnarly hill and can't get back up I'm walking home that day. And as most of the trails up Lolo way are all dead ends. You have to be able to travel it both ways.

And you would think the power company would have smooth trails. Nope.

nice job.great video

dude, your in subaru central, keep scratching around the junk yards ect.. and find an LSD. and convert it to 3.90-1 its pretty simple and well documented on the sight.

it makes a huge differance in being able to make it thru the ruff stuff.

ive never driven a welded rear in the street, (feel free to jump in guys) but I guarentee it will alter your roller coaster handling that those cars have. especially in bad road conditions. but it wont say now on the off road side of the spectrum.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye out for an LSD. I didn't get to check every subie in the yard I normally go to last time I went though, so I could have missed one.

I've been told to just weld it. I can just see a broken axle on the street out of that though. I normally don't drive it as a daily driver (got something new and more comfy for that) but I do need it to get to the trails 'n' such on the street.

sounds good not sure if i can this sunday though have something i need to get done. i do understand about not doing some offroading alone somethings are ok but others you just wait for, you never know when something might happen. well if we can't hook up to wheel this weekend i might be able to in a couple of weekends but i would only be able to on sundays. i work on saturdays and its hard to get them off especially this time of the year.

as far as welding up the rearend, it helps alot but you have to take out one of the axles to drive it on the sreet the extra traction due to the pavement wrecks havoc on drivetrains but for offroading they are awesome. i run a welded rearend in my 86 and an lsd in my 84, have done most of my heavy offroading in my 86 but haven't done much in the 84 other then some unimproved roads in the sotheastern side of oregon during a vacation a summer ago. once i get a clutch in it and the carb fixed i'll be running it this winter instead of my 86 just to see how it does. oh yeah i did have the 84 at WSCC8 in 2006 and it did really well in the mudpit and climbing up surveyor ridge during the offroading tour. i have some videos of that on my myspace page, plus some videos with my 86 up on goat mtn.

That's cool.

Sundays will proly end up being best for me as well.

I'm thinking of just waiting till I can find an LSD to build for my GL instead of welding it.

Actually saw one for sale last week that was already a 3.900. Didn't have the extra cash though and now I forget where I saw it  . (was either here or craigslist) So I'm gonna keep an eye out in the wrecking yards. Figure they'll be cheaper. There will just be some assembly required.

Oh yeah and: http://www.myspace.com/teamcatflap

I have a couple vids up on mine.

nice videos.

yeah, i would go with an lsd, it would work really well for you. i never could find one in the wrecking yards it seem like the cars that would have them we're stripped right away, but ya they would be cheaper. i got mine off of the for sale forum on here from monstaru
