  1. Hey Rob.... hows it going.... no doubt that you are an EA82 expert:) What do you suggest? can you tell me were the pcv valve is? and is there anyother components to service?? p.s. ive been wanting to ask you for a year +, can you tell me were the boost sensor(switch?) is were it turns from pressure to wire....... works every 400th boost or so for a minute:confused:,.......Im sure its a corrosion issue... thnx bro
  2. YES........ runs descent till i popped the filler cap out of curiosity,,
  3. What the h___l ? I removed the oil fill cap (ea82 Turbo ) flapper m.a.f. at an idle and it coughed and died,instantly.. I started it again and toyed with it predictably like a kill switch. what could it be??????? anyone know. thnx.
  4. any pics of your suby?????

  5. So this work in a stock ea82t d/r 5 speed???????? 1985 4 door RX to be exact????????
  6. I realize that you question was" what have you guys done", I only have done this on my 2wd toyota Ivan Stuart clone that I built, sold. I like Downeys idea. when it rotates on the same axis, there is no bind, and no rearward-frontward wheel movement. Its alot stronger to trail this link than to have it lead. cant bend it...........It seems way overkill for what were dealing with on our subes, but its a solution,,,,,,,,,,,,, and with you being one,if not the best fabricator on the usmb, should be a breeze with that awsome jig you have in your shop.
  7. WOW, man "move that bus" is right:slobber: Your stenciling is awsome, youve enspired my plan on repairing my faded clearcoat on ROXY. I love "CAMOCLAD"by 3M, but why spend the bread when we can grab a great idea and some ultra flat colors and make a fun family project. The rest of that beauty is awsome!!!!! VERY NICE POST:slobber::slobber::slobber:
  8. Im not sure if this will help, my friend put xt seats in his 85 brat, they only bolted in the stock holes in 2 spots, and he drilled holes into a pieces of flat stock mild steel, and it moved the bolt holes over 2 inches. If you do this use strong material, good bolts to keep it safe. Its only a mounting point. you can make alot of thing work by bending the rules a bit. But dont ever compromise on safety. Good luck,
  9. Good news, thank you for the fast reply:) Im doing the rear wheel bearings and also double shocking the rear with gabriel hijackers airshocks, (sick of the rear sag, bottoming out).... Going to be alot easier with knowing what I need beforehand.I appreciate it. THNX
  10. When replacing the rear pads, does the piston thread in like the fronr, or compress straight in? THNX
  11. I am needing to replace my rear wheel bearings (1985 RX) and I remember in the past that I was told that there is a special socket needed to remove the inner piece (nut)? that holds the bearing in the trailing arm? Ive done the fronts a few times(basic) on other Sube's, Ive yet to do any rears, I already have the bearings/seals,and am ready to change these, when I get home. does anyone have any pics of the stub in the trailing arm with the drive axle removed??????? or pics/info on the tool?????? or pics of the replacement????????? Thanx.

  19. Another member asked me if I was interested in a black/gold special edition????? 89 RX that was badged #33 out of 50 . no power windows. What can anyone tell me. Rob,is this what you have??:confused:
  20. Thanks Rob, yea but you have those EA82t were you could do it blindfolded. CobCob,and I are planning the 3.9 swap soon on ROXY. The right tools, are a huge factor.........
  21. As most of us will agree,Info is valuable, that is one of my favorite things about all of us being here. I was hoping you guys, and girls would tell me how your trans swaps have gone, (lifted/non lifted)? time frame?,problems?,suggestions? all info, comments are appreciated.. thnx
  22. Man thats nice. Headlight washers? ok, I am officially jealous/envious, very nice car, are they're alot of older subaru cars in your area?
  23. I see, yea those are pretty rare too, Id be trying to buy them too! ive seen enkie 13's but never 14's with the exception to the wheel page. MCBRAT has the super rare rally's. alauminum finish is rare period,, but chromies have to be impossable to find. atleast in america.
