  1. Russ,we all love picks, got ant more?
  2. Nice score Russ:cool: I was always an EA81 guy,an hesatent to get an EA82,especially turbo., I will eventually do an SJR carbed EJ22 when it goes south. But I am amazed how great my RX runs unusually good. Glad your going to keep it simple on that wagon. My only complaint is I need a dual core radiator.
  3. Are the 4WD wagon springs taller/stronger spring rate than the 4WD sedans? lve read that people try to snag RX springs when ever possable, does this "better spring thing "apply to the 85/86's sedan RX's/gl10's If so How????? This question applies primarilly for the rears, but feel free to share any/all info that you have on springs for all applications. both stock + upgrades ect. II really need to get some stiffer rears (badly), Also, does anyone know why my 85 RX came with NO rear bumpstops at all.WTH?????????????????????????????????????????? Thanks everyone:cool:
  4. Same thing has happened to alot of us. glad you got it fixed Suberdave and a turbone guessed what mine was.
  5. this happened to me too. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65335
  6. scott, heres the best source l know of ,this is one main importer, they gave me contact info 4 years ago on getting a 4wd van.in my area. ( bought an 8x8 argo instead) the guy they put me in touch with a man that had his 2 american sons living in japan to purchase/ship for him. they told vans cost more because they CANT piggyback them in a cantainer, like the trucks, because of their shape, but you can get them. some sambars are supercharged( mini blower). l linked to the track/ accessories page, hit their home page to find everything. heres the link. oh and by the way, eventhough l dont own one, l think these in the photo will do good for offroad. http://www.best-used-tractors.com/mini_truck_tracks.html
  7. NOT THE SAME. SUZUKI CARIE,DIHATSU HIJET,SUBARU SAMBAR, ALL MADE BY THIER OWN MFG'S. SPECS ARE VERY SIMILAR FOR THEIR CLASS. sorry for the cap's. Scott, there is a suzuki carrie in use by our place,( v tread mini tractor type tread/no lift.ive seen it go up some pretty steep goat trails with diff locks. The dealer he bought it from in houston mo has a sambar that is supercharged. 5 spd d/r diff locks ,a/c. goes 65 on the hyway, aND YES it will go more places than a lifted wagon. he wont sell it.
  8. Thats the one I was looking for. I appreciate that. Will plan on making sooooooooooooooon.
  9. I was checking on articulation/rubbing and and thought that i would share. on the rear veiw, you can see how well the sjr components function, and do not hyperextend your axles. Im 150% pleased with the rear, but the front camber problem sucks,I purchased these strut towers( mfg. by Another compeditor in the PNW) in used condition from a senior member, DRkrazy, and he was 100% honest in his description, and had the same 3.25 degree positive camber problem. i THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE WORTH $20.00. and I was right about that. I believe (1) degree positive (+/-.05)? is in specs. On mine, the left is +3.24 camber and the right is +2.85 camber. Lesson for the day: the longest distance between 2 points is a bad shortcut. now im needing to get some scotty towers,or make these adustable. Anyway here are some pics, they kind of tell the story.
  10. Man thats nice !!!!!!!,. painting gets easier everytime.I always learn something new each time. BTW,do you need another H-alloy wheel? me gots. free. can deliver to Birm free. .

  13. good info miles Does that go for the 4eat also? Do you remember NUG's RX? thats what were woking on. after the trans/diff swap, im going to grab a JDM takeout EJ22(LOW MILES) put an SJR weber adapter/disty. then it will have some low end grunt. I cant wait to swap, and convert to 3.9 lsd. oh boy, gear oil smell, mmmm-mmm:cool:
  14. great, that will save a huge hassle on my 3.9 swap. gotta get rid of the rx trans now that im lifted. got one in a parts wagon. thnx
  15. on a EA82 Turbo, Is the trans output shaft to the d.o.j. the only 25 spline point?????? or are the cv's to the hubs also 25 spline???????? And if its just at the d.o,j-trans, can I swap 23 spline d.o.j. cups onto my good (non clicking) turbo axles? thnx

  20. Man thats nice.I agree that the belts and components quality are crappy, which is why using the proper tool, and the correct torque is important. They need all the help they can get. Im all for the tool:burnout: and again NICE WORK.
