EA82 LIFT PRE INSTALLATION advice please
I am ready SAt/SUN to do my lift on my ea82, I have had a lifted ea81 brat(several years ago from 1990-2004), and l am semi familliar with whats involved, and the differances between the models. I chose a different combination of parts. here is the formula. front: (1) 4"AA strut towers (from DRCRAZY) (2) 3" x2" engine crossmember (2x2 tubing to link all trans blocks) (3) 2" x2 trans crossmember (2x2 tubing linked to all pieces) (all are STEEL blocks linked as a subframe) no more ripped out bolts!!!!!! rear: (1) 4" SJR aluminum shock brackets (2) 3" SJR aluminum diff drop (3) 2" SJR aluminum front diff mount spacer. I have brand new struts all around, new TSL's on flat spoke pug 15's. I have decent and comlete tools, including full airtools/ jackstands jacks welding/all necessary metal tools. strut spring compressor ect. (A)will I need to legthen any wires, hoses? (B)on the steering, is it 3" on the shaft extention if its 3" on the blocks? © will l have to legnthen my anti pich Can you think of anything else I will need? wd40/paint/hand cleaner/anti seize ect. and alot of grade 8 self locking hardware. I have all ready to go.. I was going to do this with COBCOB,and maybe MELLOW YELLOW (if he wanted to), but its Icy and crappy again,so I will probably go indoors in a large shop, and wont total his garage out. hopefully they will come over. All input is helpfull, and welcome,.................................................................. and will be documenting/posting in detail. THANK YOU ALL.

Does anyboby know about Air strut
When they worked correctly,it was a great thing. However they leak, and elctronically malfunction. Your best bet (imo) is to ditch them, like almost everyone does, and rip some regular spring struts out of a donor. Im sure alot of people will probably agree. lts a simple swap. Good luck:cool:

New skid plate thanks to Rallitek
very nice:slobber: :slobber: .have you considered having it anodized? most of us have seen aluminum thats anodized.alot of color choices and even clear.,but its usually applied for protection.most parts have a brushed(dull)appearance.But...............,have you ever seen polished aluminum after its anodized. purdy..... good job:cool:

PICS,were did the wheels go?
Sorry bro, the money was not the problem, glad to get stuff for people when possable. 1.the tailgate was on/chrome was not. 2.the entire rear window assembly was gone. 3.T-Tops. Before I went back in this a.m. I priced the tops, and seemed to not be able to get a straight answer between the 2 guys, what he said seemed high,so i asked how much for the latches are attatched buy it all, I remember that you had said $30 ea.up there so I figured it was high. I guess I should not have asked(they were finally pricing it off the computer) I had trouble getting straight answers before that.I should have unscrewed the t-top latches and just not said anything and payed as an odd part.I apologize. OK, Subarujunkie said that he is going tomorrow, you might ask him to snag them for you. My company sent me a message so I had to jet. Id go back but I live 1847 miles away. If Brian cant get them I will keep searching for you. Thanks MKC

Are they actual panels? or sticker? or sticker over panel? I was already on 50 west and got a call from cobcob that was watching the thread. He told me that zap needed those on his reply. I ran out of time. Glad you got it covered Brian  Man that place was loaded!!!!!!!!!

PICS,were did the wheels go?
Well so much for a fair deal. They want $50.00 each for the T-Tops.I guess they know what they have., latches are there, but when I asked if they will sell just those,he said"if its. part of the top,you have to keep it as 1) (do they not last?) If I would have just unbolted and grought them out I could have them. And I wont steal. so thats that. if you keep searching, you will find them up in Oregon(Subaru Centeral) ad GD says. and the rear slider and the tailgate trim is was gone.sorry. and There were no LSD's either.

PICS,were did the wheels go?
It was very depressing as a spectator, but when I got the tools out to get parts it was cool, because of the parts condition, and abbundance.
-
PICS,were did the wheels go?
I will go back when they open in the a.m. I believe the tops were in great shape/all comlete. blue interior. 1.rear window lock(pass) or complete assy. 2.look for tailgate trim (do you mean the TOP CHrOME PIECE?) 3.T top latch..I may snag the Tops if they are priced fair.. I will at least get the latches. Ill be glad to check/snag for you.no prob.

PICS,were did the wheels go?
Your right about being organized. This entire area is for recycling. they're must have been a 25 wrecking yards in this one single area. I was impressed with how the city has it layed out. Just as organized and clean as you stated. And the cars were nice. you could have got an ej22 out in a few hrs easy.the weird thing was that 70% of the subies were automatics, including the hatch. MKC:lol:
