I HAVE the opportunity to pick up a 78 brat with the ea71 motor, It needs a carb, Would the one off of my EA81 Work on it??

Nope... Different bolt pattern/spacing.....

 

Umm..... nope thats wrong Tom. This is why a Weber adapter for an EA81 will work on an EA71 intake manifold...

Wait a second... is this the one in Monroe??? If so, I believe I know the guy's brother. He was asking me about it and it sounds like it needs more then a carb rebuild from what he was telling me...
