Ticking throttle body?

Featured Replies

My throttle body ticks... rather loudly (I think anyway). Is this normal? I also get crappy mileage (about 240 or so per 12 gal), although this could be because it's cold out and most of my trips are 5 miles or less and the car doesn't warm up properly. It also has 27 inch tires, which doesn't help either. But I wonder if the ticking and the bad mileage are related. I have a d/r 5 speed, spfi, ea82, with a tps code.

240 Divided by 12 = 20 mpg. Thats not that bad running 27s

I'd fix the TPS code. Either adjust or replace as needed.

Sounds like you have a noisy injector, possibly getting worn out.
