ok....i have a 1996 Legacy ej22 with a 5spd.....i have ran across two things in the past few days that have left me puzzled.....first.....

 

 

i keep hearing people say that the non- EGR ej22's DONT have a CEL????? I DO have a CEL and my car has no EGR.

i also keep hearing people say that only the automatics and turbocharged vehicles come with a Pressure sensor mounted on the passanger side shock tower?.......i have a pressure sensor and i have a 5 spd manual...

 

 

......can anyone clarify anything here for me.....

Manuals don't have egr's so they don't have a CEL code for egr. CEL is for alot of other sensors you do have. I'm not sure on the press sensors but

my guess is you should have one.
