hey guys! my mom has a 97 2.5 gt auto. I just bought a 98 2.5 gt 5-spd. I noticed that the engines run a bit differently. mine seems a big louder. is there any difference between the 97 and 98's i knwo the hp is the same did the torque change? or could it be just because mine is a 5-spd? any ideas?

Have you modified or upgraded your intake and/or exhaust? Something as seemingly innocuous as a K & N filter will make the engine sound louder. Does your Mom's car have aftermarket undercoating/rustproofing? This can dampen vibrations (sound).
