JT95
I need to remove the headliner on my '99 Impreza wagon. Is there a way to drop this without having to remove all of the interior's plastic side trim? Sure would save a lot of time if I didn't have to remove all of the extra interior trim. Anybody got experience removing Subaru headliners? Thanks for any help!
EVOthis
what i can tell you is that subaru headliners (at lest in my 96 legacy) are alot like the cover for the rear deck.....and the way i got that out was just kind of prying on it.....i assume you could give that a try.......what are you tryin to get it off for anyway?....... aircraft engineer
you wouldn't by any chance be trying to fix a leaky rear window washer would you? It's likely in the drivers side RUBBER JOINT - the pipe (hose) has gotten stiff and cracked. Pull out the rubber cover and fish the hoses out, go get a couple of connectors and a piece of rubber vac hose and plug it all back together. Didn't try getting out the headliner, though
JT95
you wouldn't by any chance be trying to fix a leaky rear window washer would you? Nope--I've got a big dent in the roof, so I gotta remove the headliner so I can do a little gentle pounding. I ended up loosening one side of the interior trim and that gave enough room to slide it out from the other side. I hate taking interiors apart because I can never do so without crapping out half the plastic clips that hold everything in. Thanks for the input.
