March 21, 200818 yr anybody no how to reset them, turns on instantly, does not reset with ecu fixed problem(sensor ring broke and destroyed sensor) all new now still lights on???? any help searching didnt lead to an answer
March 21, 200818 yr what exactly did you replace? sensor itself + ring? who did the installation? and the silliest question of all... you did check your brake fluid level right? Jamie
March 21, 200818 yr anybody no how to reset them, [...] Look at http://endwrench.com/images/pdfs/ABS.pdf and identify the ABS system - it's probably ABS 5.3. If so, try to find the diagnostic connector (B82, 6-pin, black color) and the two ground probes, usually taped to the harness in the lower dash area above the brake pedal. If you get that far, the PDF tells how to reset the ABS ECU. If the instructions aren't clear (such as pin numbering), someone can probably post a diagram.
March 22, 200818 yr Author jamie, just so you know i replaced the ring and sensor on driverside, myself i do ALL my own work and the fluid level was good, i did also replace all 4 rotors and pads and then bleed the whole thing untill it bleed clear at all 4 corners i also rebuilt the 2.5l , rebuilt the 4eat becouse the 4wd was chunked new header and cats, new o2's, new cluster, speed sensor stil has an issue with the speedo that is a different post though
March 22, 200818 yr excellent it probably took a drive cycle to clear the code is all.... ABS system can be a tricky one to work on and work with sounds like you did great!
