4-20-08 Hood River run.

Featured Replies

Took a run out to the Hood River area with ScoobyClimbs and Chazmatz.

We were going to hit TSF but the weather was too nasty there.

Covered alot of ground and had some good times.

Got some snow, dry, mud, rocks, stumps, really narrow trails, steep climbs.

A little of everything.

What more could you ask for. :)

I even got a little wild near the end and came flying up a greasy road rally style, pitched it sidways into a big mud hole at speed where the road T'ed (and Chaz and Greg were hanging out doing repairs and such). And treated them to me almost putting it on it's side when I sank it in that hole sideways.

Splash.

Anyways I got a few pics. Some off the phone as my camera memory filled up early (need a new SD card).

hey spiffy.

the EA81's are almost stock mine (green one) doesn't have a lift but the suspension is cranked has an LSD in the rear and 14" blizzaks for tires. i can't say for sure what TeamCf has exactly so i will let him post his mods.

we don't always post our outings up usually its just us PMing each other but we can post them or we can PM you next time we get together. i'm only able to go up on sundays since i have to work on saturdays but i know that scoobyclimbs and teamcf sometimes venture out on saturdays.

but we can let you know next time.

cheers, chazmataz

it's good to see people are getting out and getting those soobs dirty! :headbang: :headbang: it was getting bleak there for awhile.  looks like it was a good run!

What an awesome day!!!!

I took alot of pictures but i'm only going to put a small hand full because i don't want to take up to much space. As Jason said we had alittle of everything weather wise and wheeling conditions. the return trip up Hwy 35 and 26 up and over Mt. Hood was brutal but we did take sometime to play again at the White River snow park, we we're the only ones there then so we had the whole place to ourselves.

Mine has the adjustable suspension cranked up, 14" wheels with the biggest tires I could fit. (they rub alittle)

And I have a very small custom lift in the back to make up for all the gear in back.

Other than that it just has the lights, and a CB.

Yeah we should start posting up plans as well, the threads can just turn into a place for the pics after. Then more may be able to get in on it. :)

I'll be out of town this weekend so no runs for me.

Here's my TR of the run...

Middle mtn(between Parkdale/Odell) was our main trailrun...then we tried to hit up the powerlines FS12(pinemont rd of hwy35) near Surveyors ridge and ran into deep snow drifts ...so then we headed down over to Binnshill, Roirdan rd. for more fun and hit more snow...and some fun stuff there .

I discovered a broken 22mm swaybar on my rig:dead: ..flaw in manufacturing...Rallitek is warrantying ...free of charge..(I bought in '05:banana: ). I also saw my steering rack boot had torn as well $22 my cost..no biggie probably a tree branch...)

I think we all got a growler of our favourite brew...to go....then of to White river for more cookies..

After all the that we are heading back down from Govy camp to find blizzard conditions with very low visability...it was freaky when you can't see the road...and being hypnotized by the snow like jumping to hyperdrive in Starwars...

Here's my pics...
