April 26, 200817 yr I am looking for a pinout or basic explanation of what wires do what on a 5 speed d/r trans off of a '86 ea82 car? Recent 5spd d/r trans swap into a '84 turbo coupe. I am looking for the pinouts so I can have reverse lights and such once again. Help is greatly apreciated.
April 27, 200817 yr looks like the FSM says that there is a 4 pin connection on the tranny. If you hold that pin connector with the tab sticking up (the one that locks the tranny end to the main harness), the two wires on the right, labeled "G" and "GW" are for the back up lights (Green and Green/White). The other two wires labeled "B" and "LR" (Black and Blue/Red) are for the 4wd light. These two are the two wires on the left side of the pinout (also known in the FSM as "Pinout F59").
