Will this idea work?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anybody knows whether or not the rear seatbelts from a '95 Legacy will work in a GL-10? I was just wondering because when my wife and I get ready to junk our Legacy GT, I was thinking of removing the seatbelt assemblies and latches and installing them in my GL-10 for extra rear passenger safety. Any ideas or input would be very much appreciated.

Are you wanting to put shoulder belts in place of the lap belt?

It's been discussed before, and the big stumbling block I believe is getting a nut inside the body to bolt the shoulder strap part to. The hole should be there already.

I would like to do this as well if we find a solution.

Is there any way to get a nut behind the metal? Could you tack weld a nut to a stiff piece of wire and thread it back there?

Yeah, I was thinking about it considering that I have 2 kidos now. I thought I remembered reading something awhile back about getting a nut behind the mounting point here on the forum, but I wasn't sure so I figured that I would at least ask. I should have used the SEARCH function. I'm sorry about that. So the nut is the biggest obstacle?
