car: 1986 EA81 Hatchback

problem: squeeking from transfer case area

when driving

sometimes its worse than other times

 

any suggestions

When moving? When sitting still? I had that problem when I was moving in my '87 EA82. The rubber bushing that held the shifting linkage up was basicaly gone and the linkage was sitting on the driveshaft making it squeak.
