Can I get some under dash pics please?

Featured Replies

I'm having a bit of trouble putting the dash back in my '87 Brat...

I took pics of everything but they are on a laptop that no longer works, along with every pic I have ever taken!!!!!!

Anyways, if anyone has any pics of the underside of the dash (driver's side) I would appreciate it. I am trying to get an idea of where the main harness was routed and where the fuse box was mounted.

I've got a couple more months of work and this bad boy should be ready to run!

I took her out for a drive the other day and I've got some popping issues to work out. It's completely stock so there are some lines I want to disconnect under the hood and my rotor button is loose so I believe I am going to need to get a new bearing for the distributor...that should be fun trying to find...

Also, if you have any leads on a complete front bumper and gas tank...I will need to replace these as well.

I have been searching forever it seems like but all I ever get is OEM crap and OEM prices! I'm in Columbus Ohio and yet have found a junkyard that has anything that I can use!

Oh well, thanks for your help!

I can get some pics taken this weekend. I have the entire dash out of an '86, and I have the interior stripped out of my '82. Between those, should be able to get you what you need. It would be Saturday afternoon before I could do this, I work Saturday mornings.

Thanks Tom! That would be very helpful!

Son needs to find my camera before I can do pics.....

Gave him some incentive,,,,,,,,,,,, I took both keys for his scooter..:headbang:

Take the laptop HD out, get ya a 2.5 USB enclosure for it, slap it in, and hook it up to something else (pc or laptop) and blamo!! You now have a huge jump drive!!

PM me if ya need a link to exact parts.

Oh, I hope the HD didn't die in the laptop btw :D

I didn't know that was possible! I'll have to look into what parts are necessary. The laptop didn't die...the DC input on the motherboard broke free and I can't charge the battery or run power from the wall. So it sits with a dead battery and no way to charge it. I thought about buying a new battery, but that seems like a waste to just transfer data. I can get another motherboard but that an expensive fix for an older laptop too...

I will go search for a USB enclosure.

Link to pics of backside of dashes. Dash pics on red background is the '82 dash. Blue background is the '86 dash. I need to clean out the '82 BRATs interior before I can get any shots of it, if you need some of those.

Son tore his room apart looking for the camera, didn't like the idea of being with out his scooter.

Tom, thank you very much!!! Those pics will help tremendously! I already figured out, by looking at them, where a bracket goes that I couldn't figure out!

Tell your son I said thanks! :D
