Are clutch LSD supposed to be noisy

Featured Replies

i just got my clutch LSD mounted in my car and the thing sounds crazy. it makes all sorts of rattling clanking sounds and as far as i can tell it's just coming from the plates and spiders gears. my next step is to take apart the LSD and see what's going on in there.

No! I've had a converted 3.700 LSD in my Brat for over 5 years and it's still no louder than an open 3.900 diff. Certainly not a clanking noise; sounds like bad news to me.
