Forester Rear Defroster Burns Out Fuse

Rear defroster on 98 Forester has not worked in sometime. Yesterday I found a burned out fuse. I replace the fuse and check again today. Burned out again. Any suggestions?

check for a bad ground or frayed wire

The blown fuse is due to the power lead shorting to ground rather than a bad ground. Check the wire connection where the wires go through door jamb. There may be a break there connecting to ground.
