Does anyone have any sort of buyers guide for mid-90's legacy's? I was wondering so I don't start a new thread of the same old "What to look for..." kind of deal.

To be a little more specific...I saw a 95 Legacy L awd with 160k at a used car lot. He's asking somthing like $2300. From what I remember passing by, it has the 5 spoke alloys and the hatch wing. It's been there a while so there may be something really wrong with it.

 

Okay...so what do I need to look out for? T-belt? What else?

Oil leaks from the rear of the engine, or by the bellhousing are typical for the early to mid legacies. The 2.2L engine is AWESOME reliability wise.

 

If its an AUTO regular trans fluid changes. Stick check for a worn clutch.

 

AWD-check for tires that are worn evenly.

 

Lots of receipts would make me happy but I haven't found a car lot yet that kept the cars receipts from the previous owner.

I doubt the car lot kept receipts too. The guy I talked to sounded like Apu from the Simpsons.
