January 25, 200917 yr Looking to see if this is a 4.111`or 3.900 transmission. This is NOT the same as the TY754VA1AA transmission. I think the 752 tranny came out of a Legacy (don't know the year) and it's not listed in the transmission chart posted in the USRM.
January 25, 200917 yr I think that chart might have some typos or is missing some numbers. I tried to look up my trans ('96 obw 2.2l, 5spd) and the number wasn't on the list. My code is TY752VABCA which is a mere one character off from TY752VABBA,which is the trans listed for a MY 95-96 legacy outback. So that would suggest a typo. However, when I plug my final drive, tires size, gear ratio for 5th, and speed into one of those calculators such as this my rpm doesn't match. The rpm does match the outback trans ratios for the '97 outback but again the number is one character off. Anyway, I don't know if this is helpful but I thought I would toss it out there. Good Luck! Will-
January 25, 200917 yr i did a quick search and found reference to a 90 legacy. which all 1st gen legacys were 4.11 touching it and turning it by hand and counting rotations or splitting it and counting teeth is the sure answer. but not always the most fun.
