Brat auxillary/oversize fuel tank?

Featured Replies

Has anyone built an oversize tank for a Brat or installed an aux. tank in one? I'm thinking about putting all that empty space under the bed that would be foot wells in a hatch to good use. I'm curious if anyone has been down this road before and has any pointers.

Thanks.

If your brat is lifted, you can put a larger tank from a FWD vehicle in there. IT is 2 gallons bigger, due to no hump recess for a rear diff. If you lifted yours, the diff will clear the non humped fwd tank.

i have had 2 brats that the stock tank rusted out. i put aluminum fuel cells from summit against bulkhead and removed stock tank. i would get fuel cell and install fuel switch to switch between 2 tanks. there are electric and manual swiths, i would use manual for easy use.

Did you put it on top of or under the bed floor?

i would think put it underneath, where would you put the dogs if otherwise.
