the plastic bulb holder , for my front marker light just crumbled, trying to change out the bulb on my 88 wagon, oh crap.. i was thinking of making a mold , and cast a replica from a castiable urethene, does anyone have an easyer fix. I tried several parts cars and all were toast. i just gobbed some silicone in there for now , but i will have to change the bulb somtime. arrggg

Check out autozone for a replacement bulb holder they should have somthing you can wire in (Autozone still open in caro?)

same problem here, will make the mod this afternoon!

my left one needed two screws, but it works better than a glue because you just loosen the screw to change the bulb - and it doesn't need to be tight enough to strip out the screw hole in the plastic, be gentle, it just traps the socket in the hole and keeps it from rattling around and burning out the bulb prematurely

Great idea!

 

I simply taped it to the body, but screw is definitely a much better thing.
