rpholz Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 i have a 86 xt mpfi fwd 5spd, me and a couple buddies of mine are planning a trip from orland fl to all over california. now i know i should just go ahead and change the timing belts and oil but what else should i do before i take the trip? btw the car has a new fuel pump, filter, spark plugs, wires, tires and a freshly cleaned tank. thanks -ryan. OH!!! and if anyone has any suggestions as to where to go in cali letme know. or a fellow suby enthusiast that i could sit around and BS with for a while lol. YellowSub Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 Don't know where in Cali, but if you come through Tucson, AZ, you should go to Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemon, Picture Rocks, & drive through Saguaro Nat'l Monument. Everyone needs to see a saguaro cactus, and there's only a couple of palces in the world to see them (all near here).
