snowstormer
i had a thread yesterday about tranny puking? fluid pours out bottom front of tranny only when car is running. not from a blown tranny line or from the vent on top. do these things have a front seal, maybe where the torque convt. installs on tranny? diff fluid is not contaminated. anyone have a diagram or any ideas? tranny still works if you add fluid, but it pours out as fast as it goes in. this possible for avg. joe to fix if it is a seal? can you buy the seal seperate? i have pulled trannys before but never been inside one. no diagrams in chiltons or haynes. thanks for any input. submonkey
Snowstormer I just replaced my torque converter and that input seal. My advice would be to pull the motor it's alot faster then pulling the tranny. then you'll will see the seal very easy to replace with a seal puller. Also check to see if your vent is plugged which could have blown your seal out.
