1991 Subaru Loyale EA82 2WD 5sp

When the car gets to normal running temp and I come to a complete stop with the car out of gear it takes a long time for the idles to drop. When they finally do it revs up and down over and over several hundred rpm. I not only look like an idiot since my car is soooooo loud but if I don't time it right the car sputters and skipps when I release the clutch.

I heard that it might be the idle speed sensor or a vac leak...does that sound right?

What should I check

thnx

damn...those suckers are like $180...guess I'm gonna live with it for now...anyone know a fix...I do have an IAC for a wrx...anyone know how to make it work for my car?

you can clean them , also it could be a temp sensor, there are two of them one is for the Gage and the other for the engine computer. there are also junkyards you could go to, Ive never had one go bad.. check everything else first.
