ok so i noticed that some of these cars have MAFs and some have AFMs.

 

i am just curious, if for instance the MAF in my car dies and all i can find in the J-Yard for a quick fix are AFMs will they work?

 

and i assume like with most cars turbo and N/A MAF/AFM are different on these or are they the same?

the hot wire and flapper mafs do not interchange

 

the turbo maf is no different to my knowledge from a non turbo maf

 

I have a turbo and non turbo door maf here and they are identical

hmm i wonder if its just different wiring or a different signal or if the AFM doesent contain an air temp sensor...

 

i'll have to check the wiring diagram.

 

my MAF isnt toast but they dont like me for some reason, i replaced 2 in my maxima, no AFMs have been replaced for failure, replaced for performance...

the computers look for different signals.

I guess you could swap computers and distributors and make it work.

(probably the harness too, though.. not worth it IMHO just keep spares)
