I have an 86 GL wagon 4x4 with the carbed 1.8. I am getting ready to possibly purchase a complete doner, wrecked 87 1.8 spfi 2 wheel drive. I was wondering if anyone close to Central Kentucky (Frankfort) would be interested in doing the swap or know someone who could. I am limited on time with both working full time, kids and home renovations. I don't need another project right now but would really like to have this swapped into my GL. The SPFI only has 77,000 miles on it, recent timing belts and tune up. Whole car with front left damage. Let me know if interested. Doner has good interior and good low mileage auto tranny and rest of body looks to be good and if someone wanted rest of parts not used as partial payment, that works too.
