Hi I'm Phil I am new to owning a Subaru my family has several I was the rebel and had Datsuns. I am coming into possession of a car built by a member here (Pleiades) his $2004 challenge RX. I will post photos of the car once it is in my possession.

 

My plans are:

new struts I've been told they are tired

possible rebuild I was also told the compression is down a bit

add an intercooler ( I have both a top and front mount laying around

upgrade exhaust to 2.5" for better boost response

add 14 inch Peugeot wheels for street duty

have the stock wheels (if they are steel) widened to 7"

pick up a set of slicks for autocross duty

 

I need to learn how to drive AWD so I hope Steven is willing to instruct me in the finer points.

Sounds like a sweet ride, welcome to the board!

 

There are plenty of stock steel Subaru wheels out there to widen, so if your car comes with alloys you can still find a set of steels for almost nothing.
