Tweek Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Has anyone ever attempted a 1st gear swap in a single range tranny. Getting ready to tear into mine and would love to lower the first gear for off road. Yeah ,yeah, "just put in an EA81 with a D/R box." I can hear it alreday. Is the first gear ratio in a D/R different than a single range? Any chance it could replace my existing first? Or maybe a first out of a five speed box? I don't want to change the axle gears cause she's already singin' at 65mph. Thoughts, ideas, constructive criticism, and name calling welcome.
